Members of the local Sri Lankan community are gearing up for their biggest annual celebration.

Their new year falls on the 9th of April, when traditional festivities will be taking place in Dunedin.

Events are being organised by the Otago University Sri Lankan Students Association, and vice president Tharindu Ranabahu joins us to talk about it.
