The multi-million dollar development of Dunedin's waterfront has come closer to being a reality today.

The Government's announced an eight hundred and twenty thousand dollar cash injection for the project from the Government's Provincial Growth Fund, with a further sixty thousand going to the development of Otago's Economic Development Strategy.

The announcement was made by Regional Economic Development Minister Shane Jones at Toitu this afternoon.
