Southland private equity fund Invest South and some Dunedin investors have provided a capital boost to Dunedin company Bison Group.

The company is a pioneer in the development of ways to weigh shipping containers.

Bison has recently added the likes of Nasa, Virgin Galactic and the US Army and Air Force to its list of customers.

While the amount of investment has not been disclosed, company representatives say the capital boost will be used in marketing, inventory and research and development.
