Iconic New Zealand confectionery lines jaffas and pineapple lumps are to be made in Australia.

Mondelez International says it can't find a New Zealand manufacturer which could produce the necessary quantities.

The multinational company says 360 Dunedin people will lose their production roles when the factory closes.

Dunedin South MP Clare Curran has stated she doesn't believe Mondelez International ever wanted to keep the historic factory open.
