Conservation Minister, Eugenie Sage, has had the privilege to observe the country's rarest kiwi species, at Dunedin's Orokonui Ecosanctuary on Friday.

Over the last few years the reserve's kiwi creche has helped to succefully raise fifty three Haast Tokoeka kiwi chicks.
