A woman who collected more than 10,000 cigarette butts in a month from lakeside beaches around Queenstown, presented her case to Queenstown Lakes District Council this afternoon.

Liz Smith says council members listened to her and were responsive to her petition to make Queenstown beaches smoke-free.
