Two Dunedin restaurateurs have made a lifestyle change for the sake of their young family, by cutting back on the long, stressful hours they used to work.

The couple have swapped their St Clair restaurant which often stayed open past midnight, for a George Street cafe which shuts just after lunch.

And they say they haven't looked back.
