Stopping Violence Dunedin is to conduct its first ever street appeal in the city next week.

The organisation has been active in the community for more than 30 years.

Stopping Violence Dunedin works with people who have either self referred, or are asked to undertake a stopping violence programme by the courts.

Services include individual counselling, couples’ counselling, parenting skills support, and anger management group programmes for men and women.

Many of these important services provided by Stopping Violence Dunedin are not funded by traditional sources, hence the street appeal next Wednesday.
