Youth Minister Nikki Kaye says seven youth sector organisations nationwide will share a total of $65,000 funding to help them provide new youth development opportunities for around 640 young people.

There are two major southern recipients.

Sticks ‘n Stones are to receive $12,000 to support 150 young people in Otago address the issue of online bullying.

In Central Otago REAP are due to receive $12,000 to support 40 rural young people in the area to receive one-on-one and group mentoring, to help them build positive relationships.
