Emergency services have been called to a suspected gas leak at Mitre 10 Mega in Dunedin this afternoon.

A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman says crews from St Kilda and Dunedin City were called to reports of a smell of gas at the store in Andersons Bay Rd just before 1pm.

Crews were at the chain store and using a gas detector to investigate.
