A Dunedin hairdresser aiming to reach a world record for the most consecutive amount of haircuts in a 24 hour period didn't quite make the cut.

Starting at noon yesterday it was always going to be a long night for Stacey Warrington. She was attempting to break a Guiness World Record and raise money for the Otago Community Hospice at the same time. The only rules were that she must use scissors and clippers for the cut to count and a minimum of two centimeters had to be taken off.
