A Dunedin high school was evacuated this morning, after receiving a threatening call.

Emergency services were called to Logan Park High School, and staff and pupils were evacuated.

Butts Road around the school was cordoned off by police.

The school has been affected by threats of this nature several times this year.

And, several New Zealand schools have received suspected bomb threats which may be linked to an overseas hoax.

Police say they're taking the calls seriously until they can rule out any threats.
