The HMNZS Wellington sailed up the harbour this morning and berthed in Dunedin for a fleeting visit.

Its latest mission, patrolling the sub Antarctic waters checking factory fishing vessels, encountered some severe weather.

And as the crew were taking shelter they came across a very rare sight, and it's one that will help some local University students with their degrees.
