To celebrate Ralph Hotere's 80th birthday, the Hocken Library will be showing a massive amount of his art work this Saturday.

The exhibition is called 'Zero to Infinity', and highlights more than four decades of art from one of New Zealand's most significant living artists.

Hocken Curator of Pictorial Collections, Natalie Poland, says the library has a collection of nearly 200 pieces of Hotere's art.

Around 50 of the pieces on display will show both the milestones, as well as the lesser known moments, in Hotere's career.
