Go Bus in Dunedin has welcomed the first four of 16 new buses for its urban routes, well ahead of schedule.

The 16 vehicles were originally slated for an August delivery from their assemblers Kiwi Bus Builders in Tauranga. They are now starting to appear on services as part of the company’s new contract with Otago Regional Council.

The buses are part of a $7 million investment in the Go Bus urban fleet for the city; the largest investment in a Dunedin bus fleet since the 1980s.
