Over 20 years ago, a group of scientists decided to bring together natural history researchers from around the Southern Hemisphere.

Many of those researchers will gather in Dunedin next week, to discuss conservation challenges in this part of the world.

Their aim is to learn from shared plant and animal kingdoms, to come up with solutions for sustaining life on this planet.
