A piece of Dunedin's nightlife is set to go under the hammer this weekend.

Two years after Sammy's closed for good, the neon sign which sat above the entrance to the nightclub from 1984 will go up for auction on Sunday at Hayward's Auction House.

But it's only one of many treasures on offer.
