A ship returning from the Antarctic on a mission to eradicate whaling has docked at the Dunedin wharf.

The SS Steve Irwin is one of two Sea Shepherd vessels patrolling the Southern Ocean for Japanese whale poachers. One of the first things the crew did after landing on terra firma was tuck into some local produce.
