A desire to record small-town Kiwi life before it becomes lost has inspired the Taieri Mouth community to update its local history book.

The book, entitled 'Taieri Mouth and its surrounding districts' by Win Parkes and Kath Hislop, is to be reissued early next year, with the addition of three further chapters.
