Plans for Dunedin's FanZone for the Rugby World Cup have been announced, with the Octagon the venue chosen to cater to people wanting a live experience without going to the game itself.

The FanZone is to be constructed for specific matches throughout the tournament, and is intended to be a step up from the usual events held in the Octagon, such as New Year's Eve festivities.
