The Otago Rugby Football Union has appointed a new six member board, including new chairman Doug Harvie.

As well, almost half a million dollars has been raised for the union to settle with creditors.

The result is 156 non-profit organisations and other creditors owed less than $5,000 will be paid in full.

Twenty four others will get more than half of what they are owed.

Sport Otago Programme Director, Richard Kinley, will be interim general manager, replacing Change Manager Jeremy Curragh.

The announcement follows days of delay, and 9 Local News will have more on this story tomorrow.
