Immigration Minister Michael Woodhouse yesterday announced some new immigration policies.

They are designed to control the quality and quantity of new migrants coming to New Zealand. They also include special assistance for lower-skilled temporary migrants already in the South Island.

The South Today asked people on the streets of Queenstown if they agree with tougher rules on immigration.
