Builders raise thousands for rescue dogs

Generous donations may save curtain bank from dark fate

Dunedin curtain bank has received over $3000 in walk-in donations and online pledges towards its givealittle campaign in the last few days.

The Trust was established in 2015 to help those who find themselves unable to keep their homes warm and dry.

Community board to move Palmerston bus stop

Dunedin's Jetty Street to be partially pedestrianised

Work to convert part of Jetty Street to pedestrian use will start at the end of this month.

The section of Jetty Street between Cumberland and Vogel Streets will be closed to all traffic, and the section between Vogel and Crawford Streets will be open to service vehicles only.

The work will cost around $550,000 and is expected to take four or five months.
