Dunedin musician Annemarie Nelson was among the enthralled fans and says she's waited thirty five years to see Toto live.

Kiwi-Aussie rockers 'Dragon' and US band 'Jefferson Starship' kicked off the afternoon concert, and were also well received.

It was the fourth and final show in the series, with gigs also held in Mount Maunganui, Napier and New Plymouth.

Built in nineteen ten, the Waiau Lodge Hotel was severely damaged in the twenty sixteen Canterbury earthquake and has been out of action ever since.

The owners are running a temporary hotel, and are determined to operate in the historic lodge,

But face many hurdles along the way.

The sun came for the one hundred and forty seventh annual Rangiora Show over the weekend.

All the fun of the fair was on offer including sideshow amusements, along with all manner of animals to be viewed and judged.

A Christchurch factory was back in business yesterday just two days after a spectacular fire.

The blaze damaged the roofs of four storage buildings at the Ravensdown fertiliser factory on Main South Rd, Hornby, on Tuesday morning.

Explosions could be heard and huge plumes of thick black smoke were seen across Christchurch on Tuesday.

Around 40 firefighters fought the blaze and stopped it just metres from a sulphur store.

The fire, which damaged four out of Ravensdown's 13 stores on its site, appears to have started during maintenance work.
