The 2012 University of Otago Arts Fellows have been announced.

Dunedin poet and novelist, Emma Neale, will be the new Robert Burns Fellow. Auckland artist, Nick Austin, will take up the Frances Hodgkins Fellowship.

Wellington composer Robbie Ellis will be the new Mozart Fellow. Christchurch children's writer and poet, James Norcliffe, will become the Creative New Zealand Children's Writer in Residence.

Vice Chancellor Professor Harlene Hayne says the appointments continue Otago's fine tradition of supporting the arts with fellowships that have assisted respected artists to make their mark.
