ACC has released Injury Statistics for work-related claims in 2009.

Sprains and strains were the most common type of injury, with more than 94,000 claims making up 44% of the overall total.

Trades workers, plant and machine operators and assemblers, and agriculture and fishery workers made up 48% of the total.

More than 210,000 claims were made for work-related injuries in total.
