A Chinese company has applauded a decision that will allow it to buy 16 New Zealand farms.

An appeal to block the sale of the Crafar dairy farms
was dismissed today.

Shanghai Pengxin says it is pleased with the Court of Appeal ruling.

It says the farms will be purchased in the name of its subsidiary, Milk New Zealand Holdings Ltd, which will honour arrangements made by the Receiver with sharemilkers and staff.
