A concert featuring Dunedin artists will be held at Marama Hall this Friday night, with items ranging from classical music to rock, and the music of immigrants.

Head of Music at the University of Otago, Henry Johnson, says the concert will have a distinctly Dunedin flavour, and will mark the end of a two day conference being held at the University.

Johnson says the conference is a big event for the music department, and he was particularly excited about a visit by leading contemporary scholar and musical theorist, Professor Tony Mitchell.
