Dunedin mothers are set to take part in the annual breastfeeding marathon on Friday August the 6th.

Last year New Zealand recorded more than 1,300 women breastfeeding simultaneously; this year it is anticipated that even more mothers will be counted breaking the record, which has been broken annually since 2005.

In Dunedin, next month's Big Latch is scheduled to take place in the Wall Street Mall from 10.30 am.

Last year more than 500 World Breastfeeding Week events took place globally, involving more than 800,000 celebrants.
