The Queenstown Lakes District council is investigating whether the developer of the Marina Terrace Apartments in Wanaka has breached any resource consents.

The investigation follows a landslip on the Lakeside Road construction site on September 7th which resulted in a slow-moving mudslide covering the road.

Traffic was blocked in both directions and diversions were in place for more than a week.

QLDC principal monitoring and enforcement officer Anthony Hall says they're currently working with the developers to establish what happened.
