A new Treasury study reveals the majority of middle-aged people are saving enough for their retirement, despite government plans to introduce KiwiSaver in July.

The study shows about 20 per cent of middle-aged people need to save more for their retirement, in line with international trends.

The report shows some older people have already saved enough and could actually stop saving, and maintain their standard of living in retirement.
