Leading marketing researcher Professor Sylvie Chetty is to be the next Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Otago.

Professor Chetty is leaving her role as Professor of Marketing at Massey University to take the position.

She has been researching the growth of small and medium size enterprises in New Zealand and other countries for more than two decades.

The professorial Chair came into existence following a $1 million endowment to the university from the DCC.

The first appointee, Professor Brendan Gray, is returning to the University’s Department of Marketing, following five years in the role.
