A Dunedin memorial service for Sir Edmund Hillary will be held next Friday, at St Paul's Cathedral in the Octagon.

Organisers hope it'll give locals a chance to share memories of one of New Zealand's greatest adventurers, with those who've met him set to talk of their experiences.
