A survey by Westpac bank shows consumer confidence is continuing to improve.
Consumer confidence in the December quarter was its highest in more than a year.
It's been boosted by lower petrol prices, a strong housing market, low unemployment, and the Government's Working for Families package.
13% of respondents say they're better off than last year, and 16%expect the economy to improve over the next year.
