In Queenstown a woman had her driving licence immediately suspended in the early hours of the morning. Police say she was caught allegedly drink-driving in and was found to be more than four times over the legal limit.

Senior Sergeant Paula Enoka says the 25-year-old local woman was randomly stopped by officers while driving on Earl St. She blew a breath alcohol reading of 1189mcg

For drivers 20 years and over the limit is 250 mcg breath or 50mg blood. The woman's licence was instantly suspended, but police could not say when she would appear in court.
