Otago Polytechnic's Cookery School whipped up a meal fit for a king last week using only found food.

The Diploma in Cookery class foraged for and prepped a selection of food culminating in a four-course meal in Queenstown.

The students had just two days to turn their foraged food into a five-star meal.
