The four teenagers charged with assaulting a local Doctor and her husband in an unprovoked attack earlier this month, re-appeared in the Dunedin District Court this morning.

17 year-old Leah Barbarich was stood down in custody to reappear early next month.

Lawyers of the trio jointly charged in relation to the assault, requested a preliminary hearing for late January next year...which was granted by Judge Stephen O'Driscoll.

Two of the trio, Richard Hau and Rory Burt, were also remanded in custody, while 17 year old Samantha Norman was released on bail.

Also present in court this morning were the victims of the assault, attending with a large support contingent.
