A new central Queenstown development is getting women's clothing store Storm as its second tenant.

A small new shopping complex is being established in Beach Street in the main part of the town.

Storm was founded in New Zealand in 2005.

The chain, owned by Hallenstein Glasson Holdings Limited, already has 12 stores across the country and one in Melbourne, Australia.

General manager Deborah Caldwell says the brand's been waiting to get into Queenstown for four years.

The doors will open on Thursday.
