The Environment Court appeal against the proposed Lake Wanaka water sports facility is being heard this week by Judge John Hassan and two commissioners.

The appeal has brought by the Save Wanaka Lakefront Reserves group. The group objects to the lake site in Roys Bay being used for a building that would provide facilities for rowers, swimmers and kayakers.
