Invercargill is in line for a new $40 million dollar hotel.

The Invercargill Licensing Trust (ILT) announced plans today to build an 80 room hotel on the corner of Don and Dee Streets in the CBD.

Its next step is to obtain a demolition consent from the council to clear the site currently occupied by cafes and bars.
