A Dunedin City Council meeting on Monday will be the end of an era for five long-term incumbents.

Councillors Bill Acklin, Syd Brown, Fliss Butcher, Neil Collins and Colin Weatherall are retiring, and will give their valedictory speeches.

All have served at least three three-year terms on the council.
