Central Otago highlands are almost ready for the arrival of the Highlanders Rugby team, for their pre-season match against the Crusaders on Friday.

Heavy rain before Christmas, and continued irrigation, means the Wanaka Rugby Club pitch is fit for a clash between the two Super Rugby teams.
