A mural has been unveiled in Invercargill of motorcycle legend, Burt Munro.

The seven by ten metre portrait of Munro was revealed to the public over the weekend.

It was completed in less than a week by kiwi artist Graham Hoete, also known as Mr G.

The mural is part of the nationwide 'Heart of the Community Farmlands project' bringing collaboratively designed murals to 15 Farmland stores around the country.

Munro became famous because of the movie The World's Fastest Indian based on his record breaking motorcycle racing in the 1960s.
